Starting with our feet firmly on Spaceship Earth, the course then heads out into our solar system, exploring the terrestrial and jovian planets, asteroids, comets, and dwarf planets.  Wrapping up with our own Sun, the next leap is out into our galaxy...and beyond.

This course is designed to prepare students for college chemistry.  The topics covered in this course includes atomic theory, the periodic table, ionic and covalent bonding, writing and balancing chemical equations, and stoichiometry.  Note:  This course is math-heavy.

By taking a closer look at the world around us, such as clocks, ice skaters, roller coasters, bumper cars, seesaws, and musical instruments, students will explore the physics in everyday things.  Physics topics that will be explored include kinematics, Newton's Laws, projectile motion, energy, and rotational motion.  Please Note:  This course is math-heavy.
